ECF Special Alloys are one step closer to achieving the highest European welding accreditation thanks to one of their talented Production Welding Coordinators.
Jim Pocklington, has passed his PCN level 2 non-destructive testing inspection exam, a requirement needed by the exotic metal specialists to achieve the ISO- EN- 3834-2:2005 accreditation.
Jim, who has worked at ECF for 12 years is now qualified to inspect all production welding and arrange NDT operations for projects.
Director of ECF Peter Elliott, says: “Jim has done himself and the whole team proud by passing this exam, he’s worked really hard for his achievements.
“Now Jim has this qualification we are one step closer to achieving the ISO- EN- 3834-2:2005 accreditation, a requirement of all our major oil and gas customers, something we are aiming for by January 2014.
“This system will add to our existing ISO 9001 and ASME U Stamp quality procedures to ensure we maintain our reputation of being one of the UKs best offshore fabricators.”
